1. Reduce the clutter: Sort through closets, cupboards and storage areas. Toss what you can; organize the rest. If your rooms are filled to excess, put some pieces of furnitures in storage while you sell your house. Park campers, boats or extra vehicles at another location.

1. Have your home well-lighted during showings. At night turn on porch lights and any outdoor lighting you may have. This gives homes an appearance of being larger and friendlier.
2. Neatness also makes rooms look larger. Avoid having any dirty dishes in the sink or on the counters and keep children's toys in their bedrooms. In the summer keep lawns mowed neatly and snow shoveled in the winter. Remember, you only have one chance to make a good first impression!
